PRESENTATIONS

Edna Golandsky

Notoriously Difficult Passages

Edna Golandsky provides solutions to problem passages in music that are considered to be some of the most challenging in the piano repertoire.

Mary Moran

Brahms at the Keyboard

Mary Moran will conclude her two-part series on Johannes Brahms, highlighting musical and technical elements in his Rhapsody in G Minor, Op. 79, No. 2. In addition, she will discuss stylistic issues in this hallmark piece.

Robert Durso

Exploring Beethoven's Sonata, Op. 57 (Appassionata)

Has mastering the opening trills and broken-chord passages caused anxiety about learning this piece? In this lecture/demonstration, Robert Durso examines the historical, musical, and technical elements of the Appassionata.

John Bloomfield

Sounds the Same, Feels Different

Using intermediate and advanced repertoire, John Bloomfield provides guidelines for navigating passages that sound like identical patterns, but contain hidden differences that create distinctive technical demands.
