An avid performer since the age of seven, Brenna Berman has performed throughout the United States and Europe, presented live radio broadcasts, and was recently featured in Bösendorfer.com articles. Ms. Berman has won many international, national, and statewide awards and scholarships. As an Artists International New York Debut award winner, she gave her New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in March 2008.
A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory and Hunter College, Ms. Berman has 14 years of training as a performer and teacher of the Taubman Approach, and has studied most closely with Robert Durso and Edna Golandsky for nearly a decade. Ms. Berman has private studios in Colorado, Texas, and Pennsylvania, and teaches via Skype. In addition to musicians, Ms. Berman helps computer users, string players and other instrumentalists, knitters, painters, and others prone to repetitive stress injuries. She served as professor of piano at Drexel University while living in Philadelphia.
Ms. Berman gives lectures and master classes regularly. In June 2010, she presented at the Colorado Music Teachers Association State Convention. In the fall of 2010, taught at the Denver Area Music Teachers Association Fall Course, a seven-session lecture series. Earlier that year, she was a guest artist at Metro State College of Denver’s Piano Celebration as both a performing artist and a presenter, and has lectured and given master classes at the University of Colorado at Boulder and for other local chapters of MTNA.
