Richard Steinbach premieres his latest recording FUSION at Carnegie Hall

Pianist Richard Steinbach will premiere his latest recording, FUSION, in his Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) debut on June 12, 2015.  The program will feature new works for solo piano by an impressive roster of international composers, who combine contemporary classical elegance with popular music, folk music and jazz.  FUSION marks Steinbach’s seventh CD release to date.

Program:  CLAUDE DEBUSSY – Etudes, CHIC COREA – Children’s Songs, GAO PING – Concealed Kisses – for Vocalizing Pianist, and works by Claudio Dauelsberg, Dimitri Cervo, Marlos Nobre, Nikolai Kapustin, Fazil Say, Jonathan Pieslak, and Mark Olivieri.

About: Richard began studying with the Golandsky Institute in 1995, and he participated in many summer festivals at Williams College and Princeton University.  In 2005, he presented a concert of George Crumb’s music with pianist Emanule Arciuli at the Summer Symposium at Princeton, including the premiere of Crumb’s “Other Worldly Resonanances” for two pianos.  Currently he continues private studies with John Bloomfield.  Steinbach has performed as soloist and collaborative artist throughout the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Great Britain, South and Central America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Honduras), New Zealand, South Korea, Japan and China.  As the grand prizewinner in the France Piano International Competition in Paris, he performed his solo debut at Paris’ Salle Cortot in 1996.

Richard Steinbach is a student of Golandsky Institute co-founder, John Bloomfield.
