Masterclass on the Taubman Approach and Recital with Robert Dvorkin and Dina Namer
On September 16-17, 2016, En Tse Hsieh won Chopin Novice Runner-Up at the Capital District Chopin Competition for Young Musicians. Musicians of the ages of 6-19 competed in front of two distinguished judges: Dr. Eliran Avni and Seán Duggan, OSB. To secure this second place position, En Tse performed the Waltz in B minor, Op. 69, No. 2. He contiues to study with certified teacher, Cheryl Florin.
Edna Golandsky will be presenting a four-day workshop at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, from January 19-22, 2017. Students are invited to attend master classes, workshops, and lectures on the transformative Taubman Approach. Ms. Golandsky will also give private lessons for an additional fee. Participants will have access to the Academy’s practice facilities and are encouraged to register early to reserve spaces in workshops and lessons with Edna Golandsky. Katowice and the surrounding areas are rich in history and culture with many local museums, galleries, and concerts at the Academy and the National Radio Symphony. Spend the week in Poland studying with Edna Golandsky and take in the artistic wealth of Poland’s “City of Music.”
Jarred Dunn performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466 with Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra. He was recently Gold Medalist in the North York Music Competition and winner of the competition’s Schimmel Trophy (for best performance of a work by F. Chopin). Jarred Dunn completed his Master of Music and Post-Graduate degrees at K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and studies with Edna Golandsky.
