ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

At the 2008 Golandsky Institute Summer Symposium at Princeton, participants will attend lectures, master classes, technique clinics and other presentations by Edna Golandsky and the Institute's expert faculty, all of whom have undergone years of rigorous training to qualify as teachers of the Taubman Approach.

In addition to private lessons, supervised practice time, and interactive technique clinics, the 2008 Golandsky Institute Summer Symposium offers a variety of presentations, lectures and master classes by special guest presenters.

The arrival date is Saturday, July 12.
Participants register from 2:00 - 7:00 pm.
There is an orientation meeting that evening.

The Symposium starts the following morning.

The program will end after the concert on Saturday
evening, July 19.

Participants will depart by 10am on Sunday morning,
July 20.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Symposium participants receive admission to the 2008 Golandsky Institute International Piano Festival, featuring extraordinary performances by brilliant pianists from around the world. The six Festival concerts will take place at 8pm.



RECORDING

By registering for the Symposium, participants grant permission to the Golandsky Institute to use any photograph or video containing their likeness. Such images may be used for promotional, news, research or educational purposes.

RESIDENT PARTICIPANTS

The fee includes tuition, four private lessons for returning students, five for new participants, interactive technique clinics, daily lectures, master classes, practice time, and admission to all Symposium presentations and all Festival concerts.

Resident participants will enjoy private rooms in Princeton University dormitories. Most rooms have a private bathroom; others share a full bath with shower between every two rooms.

COMMUTING PARTICIPANTS

The fee includes everything listed above except dormitory accommodations.


FEES

Tuition includes daily lunch in Princeton University’s dining facility, providing participants an opportunity to gather together.

Tuition does NOT include breakfast or dinner. Breakfast supplement available for $70.00 for eight days
(July 13 -20).

$1,495 per resident participant

$1,095 per commuting participant

If you take advantage of the breakfast option, $70 will be added to your payment.

Participants receive detailed information on local cafes, restaurants and University food services that are within easy walking distance of the Symposium and Festival sites.

Register before April 1 and receive a $50 discount.

Attend with a first-time participant and you receive a 10% discount.

A college professor attending for the first time receives a 10% discount.

A deposit of $500 is required with registration. The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel prior to April 15, 2008.

Full payment is due by May 15, 2008.
A late registration fee of $75 applies after May 15, 2008.
