Luke Massery
As a freshman entering the Eastman School of Music, it is
essential for me to play without pain or tension. My week
at the Golandsky institute helped me to accomplish that.
I learned the basic elements that make up an efficient and
virtuoso technique, and, with the professional guidance
of Edna Golandsky and the compassionate faculty members,
I was able to master many important fundamental aspects
of technique that enhanced not only my coordination but
my musicality as well. I am now pain-free and able to concentrate
more on making music than on surviving a practice session.
I am grateful to Dorothy Taubman for her work and to Edna
Golandsky for presenting this information in a week-long
seminar. Through Edna Golandsky and Mrs. Taubman's work,
I have found answers to the questions I have lived with
ever since I began my career in music. |
