Teaching children
correctly from the start
to build a lifetime of love for music
and piano playing.

The 2005 Golandsky Institute Summer Symposium at Princeton
has several programs that address children's pedagogy.

July 17-23, 2005

Mary Moran will present
two fascinating
pedagogy
workshops.
In these workshops,
Ms. Moran will work
with students of
varying levels,
from beginner
through advanced.

She will also discuss
topics of great
interest to teachers,
such as:

  • correct seating
  • small hands
  • the first lesson
  • transfer students
  • thumb and fifth finger issues
  • motivating students

Audrey Schneider is
passionate about
connecting children to
music that they will
love and cherish
forever.

Edvard Grieg's
Lyric Pieces
speak directly to the heart
if played beautifully,
as they deserve.

Ms. Schneider will give
a presentation that
will feature Op. 54,
especially #3 and #4
March of the Trolls
and Notturno,
longtime favorites of
intermediate
and advanced
piano students.
