Audrey Schneider
Audrey Schneider
was a scholarship student of Jakob Gimpel and Isabelle Vengerova,
but her most significant studies have been with Edna Golandsky
and Dorothy Taubman. She has lectured at The Westchester
Musicians’ Guild and The Association of Piano Teachers of
Long Island and served as a member of the faculty of The
Taubman Piano Institute since 1995. She performs regularly
in solo and duo piano recitals at Queens College, Brandeis
University, Williams College, the Bethpage, Massapequa,
Long Beach and Shelter Rock Public Libraries, the Nassau
County Celebration of the Arts and at Steinway Hall. Her
collaboration with singers, violinists, cellists and clarinetists
has been hailed as “masterful”. A guest performance with
the CBS-TV Concert Orchestra under the baton of Alfredo
Antonini led to an invitation to create and perform four
televised programs for children on classical music and dance.
Audrey Schneider received the Master of Arts degree in Solo
Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens
College, where she also completed her Bachelor of Arts degree,
summa cum laude.
