For String Musicians

The benefits of the Taubman Approach are applicable to all musicians and instruments. The Golandsky Institute offers training for a variety of instruments, including the violin, viola, and cello.

British violinist Sophie Till has been working with Edna Golandsky translating the Taubman piano technique onto the violin and is a current participant in the Golandsky Institute's Teacher Certification Program. Sophie is head of the string department at Marywood University, PA and Director of the Marywood String Project where, under Edna Golandsky’s guidance, she has been developing the Taubman approach for string players at all levels. Sophie's bio is available here and she can be contacted at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Sophie and the Golandsky Institute have led lessons, seminars, and master classes for string musicians and are developing learning materials. Listen to Edna and Sophie's NPR interview.
